I have been quiet for a while on this blog but for good reason – a new project! I’ve been making a mattress for Chloe’s dad Duma’s campervan. I struggled a little to find suitable instructions so cobbled my method together combining a few different sources.  And this is how I did it:

You will need:

  • Cushion foam, cut to size – this can be found online and also from some homeware and hardware shops. I used 2 pieces as half the bed gets stored away when not needed, so actually made 2 separate covers. Instructions below are for 1 cover only.

  • Fabric. See pattern info below to work out how much material you will need.
  • Continuous/upholstery zip and a zip slide. Your zip needs to be the length of the side of the mattress that it will be on, plus 30mm.
